He received his master's in journalism from Stanford University and a degree in sociology from Morehouse College in Atlanta. Sharon Swart is a producer, journalist and author with 15+ years of experience covering the entertainment industry as a staff editor at Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. During her 12 years at Variety, she curated the publication's prestigious 10 to Watch lists of emerging filmmakers. Sharon co-authored the book FILMCRAFT: PRODUCING. She has contributed to Harper's Bazaar, Screen International, Filmmaker Magazine and Deadline.com. She also serves on the Board of Directors of humanitarian organization FilmAid International.
