Variety's 10 Directors to Watch & Creative Impact Awards
Variety's 10 Directors to Watch & Creative Impact Awards will feature a panel with the 10 Directors To Watch followed by the Creative Impact Awards. Steve McQueen will receive the Creative Impact in Directing Award for his work on Amazon Studios’ Small Axe. McQueen directed all five films in the anthology including Mangrove, Lovers Rock, and Red, White and Blue. Glenn Close will receive the Creative Impact in Acting Award for her work in Netflix’s Hillbilly Elegy. Glenn received a Critics Choice, Golden Globe, and SAG Award nomination for her role as MaMaw. Both will participate in an awards presentation and Q&A.
