Filmmaker in the Classroom

Filmmaker in the Classroom is a dynamic program brought to you by the Palm Springs International Film Society's Educational Outreach initiative. Designed to enrich the educational experience of high school students, this program offers a captivating opportunity for students to interact directly with industry professionals.

Handpicked by the festival's discerning programming team, our visiting filmmakers who are also ShortFest alumni, embark on a journey across the diverse schools nestled within the Coachella Valley. Through these engagements, students enrolled in visual arts programs are invited to partake in intimate and enlightening discussions, immersing themselves in the world of cinema alongside experts in their craft.
