Though he’s not one to seek out trouble, Willington, like so many of his parientes in the small Colombian town of Güepsa, struggles to keep his hands clean in an impoverished land reeling from a long history of violence. The quiet and reserved truck driver and part-time DJ is still in love with his beautiful ex Mariana, who’s now engaged to be married to Willington’s hotheaded cousin René. While he endeavors to win back his true love, Willington finds himself in the crosshairs of both cops and criminals after witnessing the murder of a paramilitary thug by elderly local Alfonso. Soon a community eager to move on after decades of bloodshed is unwittingly pulled back into a deadly game of cat and mouse—where no one is safe and everyone’s a suspect.
A thrilling debut feature with an earthy Western feel, from writer/director Iván Gaona and frequent collaborator producer Diana Pérez Mejía.
