80-year-old retiree Arthur lives in a modest council home in Vienna. For quite some time he has lovingly been caring for his seriously ill wife Martha, with only female nurses assisting him. With the arrival of Fabiu, the new male Hungarian care worker, his routine is broken.

director biography

Stefan Langthaler was born in 1987 in Vienna. From 2008 to 2013 he studied Writing and Directing at Filmcollege Vienna. His medium-length graduation film „ALONE“ was shown at national and international film festivals. He was invited into the Script-developing program „scriptLAB fiction“ at the Drehbuchforum Vienna and worked as assistant to the director at the Burgtheater and Kammerspiele Vienna. His feature-length film debut as director was the documentary „SARGIS – Such is life“. It celebrated it’s pemiere at the Diagonale Festival of Austrian Film 2018 and was shown at numerous other national and international film festivals. Recently he worked as artistic assistant for director Michael Kreihsl’s latest feature film.
