film synopsis
At the age of 100, former spymaster Peter Sichel provides an absorbing insider’s account of the CIA that illustrates the roots of conflicts still plaguing today’s world, as well as the toll espionage took on his personal life. A German-born Jew, Sichel recounts his dramatic life with a good dose of wit and humor: from escaping Nazi Germany to his career in the OSS/CIA, where he became the first Station Chief in post-war Berlin and later a key player in Cold War espionage. Written and directed by Katharina Otto Bernstein, the Emmy®-nominated producer of Mapplethorpe: Look at the Pictures.
