A deaf woman and her hearing partner are expecting their first child. They are in love and full of excitement. The pregnancy, however, triggers fears about motherhood, and how to raise a baby in a world of sounds.

film synopsis

Ángela, a deaf woman, and Héctor, her hearing partner, are expecting their first child. They are in love, full of excitement and all the questions that new parents have. Ángela’s pregnancy, however, triggers fears about motherhood and how she will be able to raise her daughter in a world of sounds. Inspired by experiences with her own sister, the film’s magnificent lead actress Miriam Garlo, writer/director Eva Libertad’s debut feature offers a personal, vital, and profoundly moving look into the complexity and rarely explored relationship between the hearing and hearing-impaired worlds.
