In Georgia, two stranded Nigerians, Obinna and Afame, navigate the sleeping city of Tbilisi after a long night out. However, as day breaks the true colors of their ambiguous affection begin to show. In this way, they find solace despite their hostile environment.

director biography

Born in 1985, in Tbilisi, Georgia. In 2003 Elene entered the Tbilisi State Academy of Art where she studied monumental painting. Soon during her studies, Elene and other students established the art group LOTT who collaborated together until 2007. In 2008, she left Georgia and continued her master studies at the Geneva art school (HEAD) on the research-based master Critical Curatorial Cybermedia, her graduation thesis was dedicated to the collaborative working process in different communities. From 2011 to 2014, Elene studied cinema. Her graduation film ‘Gospel of Anasyrma’ was granted the WILSDORF excellency prize. In 2016 Elene and her collaborator established the production collective mishkin, which coproduced Elene’s first feature ‘I am Truly a Drop of Sun on Earth’ (2017) with Alva Film in Switzerland. ‘I am Truly a Drop of Sun on Earth’ premiered in Rotterdam and won numerous prizes. She is currently working on two new feature films. She works in Tbilisi and Geneva.
