film synopsis
In this provocative erotic thriller, experienced psychologist Nicoline (Game of Thrones’ Carice van Houten) begins a challenging new position in a prison, where she is paired with serial sex offender Idris (Marwan Kenzari). After five years of treatment, Idris is about to be granted his first unaccompanied probation. While his team of therapists are enthusiastic about his progress, newcomer Nicoline’s instincts tell her not to trust him. When she attempts to block his probation, the charismatic Idris tries to convince Nicoline of his good intentions, but slowly and surely he demonstrates the frightening, manipulative behavior she saw in him from the beginning. A power play emerges between the two and, in spite of her knowledge and experience, Nicoline finds herself trapped. This steamy feature debut from acclaimed actress Halina Reijn features enthralling, committed performances from her two leads that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
