film synopsis

Takashi Miike (Audition), one of the most prolific, inventive and outrageous action filmmakers from Japan, once again brings us a wildly entertaining mix of mayhem, romance and comedy in a mad visual romp that pushes to extremes. Leo, an aspiring boxer, feels he has nothing to lose after finding out he has an inoperable brain tumor. Monica’s abusive father has just sold her to the yakuza for sex slavery to pay off his drug debt. She desperately needs Leo’s help to escape before a full-range gang war erupts. Gunfights, swordplay, car chases, double-crosses, airborne severed heads, Miike’s latest delirious head rush about two young people taking destiny into their own hands is one hell of a ride.
