ShortFest Insta-Photo Scavenger HuntThe Hunt is On! June 17-24, 2019. Search. Snap. Post. Grab your phones and and solve clues to win great prizes from our local ShortFest sponsors.ShortFest Insta-Photo Scavenger Hunt consists of five clues or photo prompts + one bonus clue where participants will need to snap photos as answers to the clues or prompts and post them on their public Instagram account and tag @psfilmfest with the hashtag #ShortFestHunt19.
ShortFest Insta-Photo Scavenger Hunt Clues + Photo Stops
- Clue #1: Up High, Not Down Low, Find a big sign announcing Shortfest in Downtown Palm Springs and Take a Photo (or selfie) in front of it!
- Task #2: Visit Destination Palm Springs In Downtown PS or their Pop Up Shops at The Riviera Hotel and take a photo of yourself posing with a store mannequin wearing ShortFest Gear
- Clue #3: This hotel was a former Rat Pack hangout and a place event Elvis Presley would crash. Take a photo of yourself in one of the lobby rooms of this hotel is that hosting ShortFest 2019.
- Clue #4: Find the bronze statue of the founder of the Palm Springs International Film Festival in Downtown Palm Springs and take a photo with it.
- Clue #5: This theater is one of the host theaters for ShortFest. It opened in 1967 with the Oscar Winning film Dr. Zhivago. Take a selfie in front of it.
- BONUS CLUE for a chance to win an additional prize! This actress appeared in the short film "Sans Titre" and was also the recipient of the International Filmmaker award in 2000 at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Find her star on the Downtown Palm Springs Walk of Stars and take a picture of your shoes on her star.
Rules
Rules: Beginning on June 17, 2019, Clues will be released on Instagram and here. The contest is open to everyone with no purchase required. You must have a smartphone/camera to take photos and an Instagram account. Post photos on your personal Instagram account that needs to be public at time of posting and through end of contest. Private Instagram accounts can not be viewed. All five posts must be uploaded at the same time as a gallery post. Please visit our Instagram profile page for directions on how to upload as a gallery. Photos must be uploaded in order of clues 1-5. If you wish to solve the bonus clue for a chance to win an additional prize you must upload the photo on the same post as the 6th photo. The bonus clue is optional and not required to win, however you must post clues 1-5 + the bonus clue for a chance to win the bonus prize. Participants must write Insta-Photo Scavenger Hunt as their caption for the post and tag @psfilmfest and add hashtag #ShortFestHunt19. Deadline to complete Hunt and upload all photos and post is June 24, 2019 at 12:01am. Posts will be judged by accuracy of completing the clues, proper hashtag included, and merit/creativity of photos. Three winners will be announced on June 24, 2019 at 1:00pm. Winners will be notified via direct message on Instagram and be announced publicly on @psfilmfest Instagram.
