  • A Chairman's Pass entitles you to reserved seating at all screenings (upto 10 minutes before show time), entry into all parties, ShortFest Forum panels, and special presentations.
  • An invitation to the Filmmaker Awards Brunch on Sunday, June 24
  • $500 of your gift is tax-deductible; a larger donation will increase your tax deduction by the amount over $1,000 that you donate
  • You get swag!!  Choose from an official ShortFest t-shirt or tote bag
  • We'll put your name in lights!  Okay, maybe not in lights, but definitely in our on-screen presentation that runs before film programs.  Our way of publicly saying how much we appreciate your support.

This is truly a gift that keeps on giving.  ShortFest gives filmmakers wings!  Our alumni have become celebrated directors, cinematographers and animators.  Keep the wind at their backs by becoming a ShortFest Patron.  On behalf of the filmmakers, we thank you so very much!

What are filmmakers saying about ShortFest?

...I have returned home with renewed vigour for filmmaking, inspired by the people I met and the incredibly high-quality films I saw.  Of course the whole amazing team that works at Shortfest, who are all so supportive and nurturing towards us filmmakers - I got the feeling that, as a festival, you are giving us every opportunity to succeed. But I think the main factor is Palm Springs itself. I have never been to anything like this where I have felt the local community so engaged with what was going on. To see all those volunteers was very humbling and to see each screening full was so inspiring. To have the local community not just engaged with Shortfest but also contributing to it, is an enormous credit to the festival.

The Gold standard for short film festivals. I attended from New Zealand and it was well worth the trip, especially for the film makers I met from around the world and still keep in touch with.

Joe Hitchcock, director of Stick to Your Gun, official selection ShortFest 2016

Wow, this festival is one of my best film festival experiences. I feel lucky to have been a part of it. If your film gets accepted I highly recommend all filmmakers to come to Palm Springs. I saw great films and made new inspiring friendships.

Sarah Gampel, director of The Bus Trip, official selection ShortFest 2016

Really, the best film festival experience I can imagine. Such nice, supportive staff, great films from around the world, a great sense of community amongst filmmakers, parties every night with shuttle service, and great opportunities to meet industry people. Definitely worth it if you're lucky enough to be chosen for this festival.

Mike Gan, director of No Evil, official selection ShortFest 2016

Palm Springs SF was amazing! I can't thank the organisers enough - they were always friendly and beyond helpful. The venues (hotel and cinema) were great spaces for a festival and Palm Springs itself is an incredible location - check out the mountains! A special mention to the volunteers too - they drove us around, served us and were always a joy to be around.
