Got a feature script up your sleeve? If you're ready to venture out into the world, our collection of industry professionals-agents, studio executives, financiers, producers and filmmakers-are ready to meet with you one-on-one. You pitch. They respond. After 10 minutes it's musical chairs. Only 30 filmmakers (who have films in the festival's official selection) will be able to sign-up for this event so you've got to move fast. Filmmakers must submit a one-pager of their feature project and, if selected, will be given a time slot to meet with up to 3 industry professionals.

Marc Bortz is the Director of Fiction Content at Preferred Content (PC) where he has worked since December 2012. Bortz is responsible for packaging and producing PC's narrative feature slate. Additionally, Bortz is involved in selling PC's narrative features to leading global and domestic distributors. Bortz started his tenure at Preferred Content working directly for its Founder and CEO, Kevin Iwashina. Previous experience in the field includes time spent at ICM Partners, and Marc Platt Productions. Bortz graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania and is originally from Potomac Maryland.


Abby Davis is currently the Vice President of Non-Fiction Content at Preferred Content (PC), one of the leading film, television & digital sales and project finance companies. Davis assembles creative and financial elements for PC's original documentary content as well as handling the worldwide and North American distribution rights for its non-fiction film slate.


Matt DeRoss is the SVP of production at Anonymous Content and has been with the company for the past 15 years. Matt produced James Ponsoldt's last feature, THE END OF THE TOUR. The critically acclaimed film, which stars Jesse Eisenberg and Jason Segel, was nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards. He is currently producing the HBO/Cinemax series QUARRY, written by Graham Gordy and Michael Fuller and starring Logan Marshall Green, and is wrapping post-production on the HULU pilot CITIZEN, written by Nick Schutt, Josh Pate, and Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, who also directed.  His other credits include THE LOFT, a remake of the highest-grossing Belgium film of all time, and the documentary #ReGENERATION narrated by Ryan Gosling and featuring interviews with Talib Kweli, Mos Def and the late Howard Zinn.  Matt is currently executive producing ELECTRIC DREAMS, a sci-fi series based on the short stories of Philip K Dick, alongside Brian Cranston, Ron Moore, and Michael Dinner, recently given a series order by Channel 4. He is in development on a number of TV and Film projects with John Lee Hancock, Andrew Dominick, and Casey Affleck and Samuel L Jackson on two separate historical mini-series. 


Matthew Lesall, having cast network pilots and television movies as well as holding the position of Director of Feature Film Casting at 20th Century Fox and in-house casting consultant for the Fox Searchlab Writer/Director Program, his primary recognition is on the indie front.  Matthew at times teams with New York CD Susan Shopmaker, as with Chronic starring Tim Roth, for Mexican director Michel Franco and Frank & Lola starring Michael Shannon and Imogen Poots. Other credits include Sundance standouts Rocket Science and Mean Creek, as well as the NetFlix Find Your Voice winner Almost Kings. Matthew cast two season of Warner Premiere's record-breaking webseries Mortal Kombat: Legacy which aired on Machinima, and season 2 of Warner Digital's Aim High (Crackle). Bait garnered an Official Entry at the Venice Film Festival and the same year he also culled two films at the inaugural edition of Paris' Champ d'Elysees Film Festival; including the Liam Neeson starrer After.Life. Matthew has cast productions and co-productions for Australia, Canada, Dominican Republic, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, and the UK. His films have premiered at Sundance, SXSW, Venice, Toronto and Cannes. Matthew is a member of ATAS, BAFTA and is Vice-President of the Casting Society of America. He is based in Los Angeles and holds dual US/UK citizenship.


Morgan O'Neill is an American/Australian writer, director, actor and producer. Having earned an honors degree in Literature from the University of Sydney, he graduated from Australia's prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a BA in Performing Arts in 1998. Since then he has worked extensively in all facets of the entertainment industry, both in Australia and the US (where he is based). As an actor, he has performed widely in film, television and theater. As a writer/director he has helmed three feature films (SOLO starring Bojana Novakovic, THE FACTORY starring John Cusack and DRIFT starring Sam Worthington). His films have garnered industry and festival awards around the world including nominations for all three of Australia's most prestigious awards - FCCA (Film Critics Circle of Australia), AWGIE (Australian Writers' Guild) and AACTA (Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts). He has multiple projects in development both in film and TV. Morgan is represented by CAA in the US and RGM Artists in Australia.


Nick Ogiony is a Film Finance Agent at leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Ogiony works in the Los Angeles office and specializes in film packaging, financing, and sales.  Ogiony joined CAA in 2009 from the William Morris Agency. He began his career as an intern at HBO.  Ogiony graduated from Boston University with a degree in Film.  


Luke Rivett is a literary manager at Anonymous Content, representing screenwriters and directors for film and television. Under the Anonymous Content banner, he most recently produced EVERLY starring Salma Hayek and directed by Joe Lynch. Previously, Luke produced Scenic Route, starring Josh Duhamel and Dan Fogler, which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival in 2013. Next up will be the television series BERLIN STATION directed by Michael Roskam starring Rhys Ifans and Richard Jenkins which will be released in Fall 2016 on EPIX.


Sophia Takal directed the critically-acclaimed, award-winning features ALWAYS SHINE (Tribeca '16) and GREEN (SXSW '11). She produced and starred in Lawrence Michael Levine's GABI ON THE ROOF IN JULY and WILD CANARIES. Acting credits include Joe Swanberg's ALL THE LIGHT IN THE SKY, Ti West's V/H/S and John Slattery's GOD'S POCKET.


Peter Trinh is an agent in the international and independent film department of ICM Partners, a talent and literary agency representing clients in the fields of motion pictures, television, publishing, music, theater, corporate branding and digital media. In his role at ICM Partners, Mr. Trinh, on top of being on teams for various clients throughout the agency, packages creative and financial elements to films and negotiates the distribution deals for independent films. He was named by Variety as one of "Hollywood's New Leaders" in 2012 and Fade In Magazine's "The Top 100 People in Hollywood You Need to Know 2013.


Moises Velez is currently Creative Executive at Warner Bros., developing scripted content for digital native audiences. Previous to Warner Bros. he was director of development for cable net NBC Universo overseeing the development of scripted, documentary series and alternative formats. He is a recipient of the George Foster Peabody Award and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the International Documentary Association (IDA), the leading organization advocating for and serving the documentary film community.
