Now entering its 25th year, the Palm Springs International Film Festival will celebrate this milestone as one of the most prestigious and well-attended film festivals in the country. The Festival has long secured its place as the portal for the very best in international cinema, along the way earning the respect of domestic and foreign filmmakers, filmgoers and trend watchers.

The depth and breadth of international cinema - all set against the dramatic backdrop of Palm Springs – regularly brings together more than 180 films from over 70 countries, and an enthusiastic and sophisticated audience of more 135,000.

PSIFF has also evolved into one of the most highly anticipated preludes to the Oscars®. The Festival’s centerpiece, the black-tie Awards Gala hosted by Cartier, welcomes a glittering crowd of 2,000 for a star studded awards ceremony. Recipients included Naomi Watts, Bradley Cooper, Richard Gere, Sally Field, Helen Hunt, the cast of Argo and directors, Tom Hooper and Robert Zemeckis.

The national and international print and electronic media converge on Palm Springs generating over 1 billion media impressions worldwide.
