2014 Palm Springs International ShortFest

Saturday, June 21st
Filmmaker Forum Hallway
2:30 – 3:00 p.m.

Following the 1:00 p.m. panel, IndieWire’s Anne Thompson will be signing copies of her new book, HarperCollins’ The $11 Billion Year: From Sundance to the Oscars, an Inside Look at theChanging Hollywood System?  The signing will take place in the hallway outside of the Mojave Learning Center at the Renaissance Hotel.

Hollywood enjoyed a highly successful year in 2012 both commercially (undeniably) and critically (arguably). Studios and independents grossed nearly $11 billion—but what changed in just one year? Well-loved veteran blogger Anne Thompson chronicled the year—from Sundance fire-sales to Academy Award showdown—in her book, The $11 Billion Year.
