Forced to pretend she’s her wife Sam’s sister in order to spend full time at her bedside in the hospital where Sam lays in a coma, Ali deals with the fact that gay marriage is not recognized in Texas. But when a vindictive nurse and a hospital beaureaucratic threaten to put an end to the charade, Ali is forced to fight both those who would keep her from Sam as well as her own fears of letting go.
