Brazil, 2011, 20 Minute Running Time
In a nameless town devastated by war and fear, a soldier spots a woman hurriedly walking while she clutches a package. Following her, he bursts into her house to discover her in the act of preparing Turkish Coffee. An interrogation ensues, as the soldier prods to see if she has any terrorist ties, with both parties reflecting the fear and ethnic mistrust that fuels so many contemporary conflicts. The denouement is both simple and profound.
