The Closing Night Screening and Wrap Party is presented by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. Special appearances include Director John Boorman and others involved in the film. The screening will be followed by a wrap party hosted by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians.

John Boorman has created a triple-whammy black comedy thriller of sex, lies and devilish twists in one of his finest works to date, starring long-time collaborator Brendan Gleeson who gives a captivating and career-defining performance.

Liam O’Leary (played by Gleeson) is a wealthy Irish property developer of humble origins, who had made it big and fast and is now living the high life. He is the product of Ireland’s newfound wealth and espouses many of the values associated with modern Irish Society. His quick trajectory to success has led him to pursue a potentially lucrative but highly risky scheme to build a national stadium. However, a rival developer has connived to cut him down to size and thwart his plans.

Wildly over-extended, Liam finds himself struggling in a receding market. Stressed and over-stretched, he seems on the verge of a mental breakdown when, to his horror, he starts seeing someone that looks just like himself. To top it off, he is plagued by his unhappy wife (Kim Cattrall) and has a disgruntled son to contend with. Initially he thinks he’s going mad, or that it’s a sign before death as his double increasingly continues to appear with more frequency and interrupts his business and personal life.

As everything seemingly continues to spiral downward, Liam sets out to fight back and discovers a dark side to his past that makes him question everything that he has ever found to be true. John Boorman has created a biting and potent parable in which Brendan Gleeson effortlessly strides throughout the film with authority and subtlety and the stellar supporting cast notably features exceptional performances from Kim Cattrall, Sinead Cusack and Moira Deady.
