This touching tale of a gay man raising his young niece after his brother’s death deals with complex issues in deft and unexpectedly moving ways.

Seven years after the tragic death of his brother, Jack (David W. Ross – who also scripted) is dedicated to raising his niece, Tara, along with his sister-in-law Mya (Alicia Witt). When the renewal of his work visa is denied, deportation to his native England seems imminent. The quick solution is a duplicitous marriage to his best friend Ali (Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Meadow in The Sopranos) to secure his green card. Mindful of immigration and custom enforcement (ICE) questioning, Ali moves into Jack’s apartment. When he falls head-over-heels in love with Mano (Maurice Compte), a sexy U.S.-born architect, tensions bubble to the surface between Ali and Jack, complicated further by a discomfiting surprise visit by ICE officials… In the end, Jack must make a heartbreaking choice that will affect everyone he loves.
