The Houston Gala

Each year’s Festival encompasses many magical special events, but few can compare with the annual closing weekend party thrown for the Festival by longtime Festival supporters and renowned Palm Springs philanthropists Jim and Jackie Lee Houston. The Houston Gala, which always centers on an inspired and outrageously entertaining movie theme (previous years have featured glorious tributes to Breakfast at Tiffany’s and The Golden Globes) is equally celebrated for the talents who have performed for its fortunate guests. Past performers have included Rita Rudner and last year’s special guest, Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson; this year’s surprise guest will continue the tradition of superb entertainment.

The Houston Gala Reception will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, January 12 at the Jim and Jackie Lee Houston Estate.
