Last year our “Contenders” series focused on the directors who were emerging as the frontrunners for awards consideration in the run-up to the Academy Awards. This year we focus on front-running actors. Each program in the series will feature a screening of the film under consideration, and be followed or preceded by an in-depth, on stage interview with the star of the film, moderated by a major film critic or film journalist.
