Something is not quite right when young seminary student Danny Sullivan returns to his small hometown in icy Wisconsin to assist a terminally ill priest. Although he hasn’t spoken to his reclusive brother Jake in years, Danny’s friends convince him to seek Jake out. Danny finds him in the woods on the edge of town, living in an old trailer and dealing pot to locals. After wild parties, deep and confrontational talks about spirituality, and ice fishing in extreme weather, the brothers’ reunion reveals a great rift between them: each brother has chosen his own tortured path to process the grief and guilt of a past family tragedy, and now they must find a way forward.
