But when Orlando suffers a violent fall and massive injuries in the last moments of a fatal aneurysm, suspicion falls on Marina, causing her to flee the hospital and the eye of a judgmental city.

Despite the strength of her relationship with Orlando, without his presence Marina finds herself shut out of the life they once shared, unfairly mistrusted by his family and the authorities. Yet through it all Marina quietly refuses to be boxed in, standing up for her right to mourn a lost love and live life on her own terms in this deeply compassionate and unforgettable new film from Sebastian Lelio, the director of Gloria (PSIFF 2014).
